For proper operation of a 115-volt motor, the distance from the main breaker to the fountain or aerator must not exceed 100 feet. If it does, please select a 230-volt motor.

Protect your dock, boat and marina from damaging winter ice with the Scott Aerator Floating De-Icer!

The Scott Aerator Floating De-Icer is an industry-leading solution for protecting docks, boats, marinas, boathouses, fish ponds, and waterfront structures from damaging winter ice. Designed with over 45 years of water management expertise, the Floating De-Icer creates continuous water circulation by drawing warmer water from below the surface and directing it upward to prevent ice formation around your valuable waterfront investments.

Unlike dock-mounted systems, the Floating De-Icer suspends approximately two feet below the water’s surface from its heavy-duty float, allowing it to automatically adjust with changing water levels throughout the winter. This floating design provides consistent performance even as lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and marinas experience seasonal fluctuations.

The Floating De-Icer is built for continuous operation with a rugged, oil-free, stainless steel motor engineered for years of dependable service. Its maintenance-free, professional-grade design performs reliably throughout the harshest North American winters in both fresh and salt water. Unlike oil-filled de-icers, our oil-free motor delivers consistent performance in all water temperatures without requiring seasonal oil changes or creating the risk of messy, environmentally harmful oil leaks.

Even during extreme below-zero conditions the professional-grade, fully submersible, maintenance-free motor operates at an impressive 3,450 rpm, delivering exceptional water movement compared to many competitor’s de-icers that operate below 2,000 rpm. This gives our de-icers a huge advantage in how much water they move — 400 gallons of water per minute vs. competitor’s 180 gallons per minute!

Each Floating De-Icer comes standard with a heavy-duty, 25-foot-long, 12-gauge submersible power cable and a rugged, marine-grade, water-resistant plug. Optional power cable lengths up to 100 feet are available for installations requiring additional reach. The unit operates on standard 110-volt power, so no special wiring or electrician services are required. Models are also available in 230-volt, 3-phase, and 50 Hz configurations for international or special applications.

We ship throughout the United States and Canada. Simply place your order online, or contact our team at 1-616-392-8882 for Canadian shipping quotes or international requirements.
